MISSION Creation of a drama-based induction to illustrate health and check the learning of safety requirements

LEARNING PLATFORM Bespoke Built Learning Platform running 24/7 with interactive questions linked to central database

OBSERVATIONS Centrica moved from the drama-based film (below) to an animation in 2024.  An animation can quickly tire at 30 mins long.  Keep your animations short.

LEARNING MESSAGE Animations can be easily updated, but with actors in a film you need to get it right first time.  In terms of result, the drama-based production is a winner.

MISSION Site safety inductions for a multilingual workforce 

ASSETS Video modules played on construction sites in English with an alternative Albanian voiceover version

OBSERVATIONS The workforce is on site with no classroom facility or access to reliable mobile data. Learning is authenticated through paper-based questionnaires stored at HO.

NHS, PUBLIC HEALTH ENGLAND 2018-2019

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN, ARTICULATE STORYLINE

MISSION Full time working at Public Health England. Transform text-based Articulate Storyline courses into video-rich multimedia resources.

OBSERVATIONS The NHS worked with Articulate 360., a desktop-based tool enabling highly customised, complex, slide-based interactions.

LINDSEY OIL REFINERY

MISSION Responsible for the design, build, delivery and bespoke LMS for Total's Lindsey Oil Refinery in the North East, UK. 

ASSETS 5 x 20 minute interactive modules and production of the interactive visitor induction programme.

LEARNING PLATFORM Working with a partner organisation, the video modules are viewed in a live classroom environment with a key-pad answer system.

OBSERVATIONS The course material needed to be authentic, accurate and engaging, this meant working on-location with all the complexities filiming sequences in a working oil refinery.

UK MEDICAL COUNCIL FOR CLINICAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

MISSION Create the UK's most comprehensive learning resource for communication skill training for UK medical students.

ASSETS 8 Moodle-based e-Learning Modules and 45 video training scenarios. 

LEARNING PLATFORM Moodle & Vimeo

OBSERVATIONS Founder of this e-Learning resource aimed at all UK Medical Schools built with the UK Council of Clinical Communication Skills in Undergraduate Education.  Adopted by many medical schools worldwide.
